October PHPA – BioSteel Performers of the Month

The Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA) and BioSteel are pleased to announce the PHPA – BioSteel Performer of the Month Award recipients for the month of October.

 

Goaltender Yaroslav Askarov of the San Jose Barracuda receives the BioSteel Performer of the Month Award for demonstrating consistent play and high performance throughout October. Askarov dominated the month with a 5-0 record which included back-to-back shutouts to open the season. He also posted an impressive 1.20 goals against average and a .959 save percentage. His elite-level play has been a crucial factor in the Barracuda’s early-season success.

 

In the ECHL, Michal Stinil of the Wichita Thunder receives the BioSteel Performer of the Month Award for his high performance and consistency during the month. Stinil recorded and impressive 12 points (7 goals and 5 assists) and a +9 rating in his first five games of the season, leading all skaters in both goals and assists.  His remarkable start included a five-game goal scoring streak, showcasing his elite scoring abilities as he aims for a third consecutive 30-goal season.

 

Both players will receive a prize package courtesy of BioSteel in recognition of their accomplishments throughout the month.
