The Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA) and BioSteel are pleased to announce the PHPA – BioSteel Performer of the Month Award recipients for the month of December.

Sasha Pastujov of the San Diego Gulls receives the BioSteel Performer of the Month Award after posting 6 goals and 13 assists in 12 games during the month.  Pastujov recorded at least one point in 11 straights games which included three multi-point games.  The native of Bradenton, Florida was drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the third round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.

In the ECHL, Spencer Kersten of the Orlando Solar Bears receives the BioSteel Performer of the Month Award for his high performance and consistent play during the month. Kersten recorded 17 points (11 goals plus 6 assists) and was +11 recording at least one point in 11 of 12 games throughout January with the Solar Bears.  He also made his AHL debut during January, appearing in two games with the Belleville Senators.

Both players will receive a prize package courtesy of BioSteel in recognition of their accomplishments throughout the month.
